Whittlesey Gun Shop established in 1984 by Dave Shipman, has moved forward with the times to being one of the leading gun shops within the East Anglia region.

Having started in the gun trade with Gallyons of Peterborough, Dave managed the gun dept of Shelton's of Peterborough for 4 years before opening his own shop.

He has a keen interest in wildfowling, pigeon shooting, deer stalking, gameshooting and clayshooting.

He is a long-standing committee member of the Whittlesey Wildfowlers and Conservation.

A member of Fenland and Kings Lynn Wildfowlers and also a member of the St Hubert Club, BASC and Game Conservation.

Dave has also run a clay shoot at the Bassinally Pits in Whittlesey for the past 18 years with tuition and fun!! as well as helping to start a lot of people in their shooting career.

Fly Fishing Commonwealth Champion and an excellent game and clay shot, the business has developed strongly and professionally due to his vast knowledge in these areas.

Trout and Salmon fishing are another main hobby he has succeeded in fishing for England three times and was Captain of "The Cormorant Fly Fishers" one of the top teams in England.

He is also the inventor of the Shipman Buzzer Dry Fly.
